A shop born from a struggle
I am Daniel, father of a little girl with cystic fibrosis.
Behind Mon Souffle, there is first and foremost a reality that we live every day: that of a family faced with treatments, daily constraints, questions, and the unpredictability associated with a chronic respiratory illness.
Over time, one question became central for us: how can we make our child's daily life simpler, more comfortable, and easier?
It is from this experience that Mon Souffle was born.
Transforming hardship into concrete solutions
As caregiver parents, we quickly understood how daily life could become a real marathon.
We spent hours looking for clothing that makes dressing and care easier, useful products for performing respiratory exercises, as well as accessories and practical solutions to simplify daily life with respiratory issues.
Searching, comparing, testing, verifying… we would have preferred to dedicate all that time and energy to what matters most: supporting our child and enjoying our family life to the fullest.
Mon Souffle was born from this desire to bring together, in one place, solutions that we would have liked to find more easily ourselves.
What is Mon Souffle?
Mon Souffle is a shop dedicated to the daily lives of children and adults with respiratory needs or problems, as well as their loved ones and caregivers.
We offer three main types of solutions:
-
Adaptive clothing, designed or selected to prioritize comfort, freedom of movement, and ease of dressing. Some models feature specific openings that also make it easier to access the body during treatments.
-
Products selected for respiratory exercises, to make it easier to find useful equipment for respiratory work and training in one place.
-
Practical products and accessories for daily life, selected based on the difficulties and needs that people with respiratory issues may encounter, at home, on the go, or during hospitalization.
Our selection evolves according to the needs we encounter, feedback from families, and the solutions we discover.
Adaptive clothing imagined from real needs
Some of the clothing offered at Mon Souffle is directly imagined, developed, and manufactured by Mon Souffle in France.
They are designed based on concrete situations encountered in the daily lives of patients and caregivers.
On some models, for example, snap buttons are positioned on both shoulders to allow the top of the garment to be opened completely.
This opening can make dressing and undressing easier, especially for a person who has difficulty dressing themselves or who needs assistance.
It also makes it easier to access the body during certain treatments and to route tubing for catheters or IVs, without having to remove the garment entirely.
However, not all our adaptive clothing features the same system: some are selected primarily for their suppleness, comfortable cut, and freedom of movement.
Products selected for respiratory needs
Mon Souffle is not limited to clothing.
We also look for products that can support respiratory exercises as well as objects and accessories that can simplify certain aspects of daily life with respiratory issues.
Our role is to select and clearly present these products to allow everyone to better understand their use and features.
When the use of a product depends on a specific medical situation or a respiratory rehabilitation program, the recommendations of a doctor, physical therapist, or other healthcare professional remain, of course, the priority.
Products designed by us, others carefully selected
Some garments are imagined, developed, and manufactured by Mon Souffle in France.
Other clothing, accessories, or products are carefully selected by us because we believe they can meet a concrete need: comfort, ease of dressing, respiratory exercises, treatments, travel, hospitalization, or daily organization.
Above all, we want to be able to clearly explain why a product is featured on Mon Souffle and what need it can fulfill.
Our commitment: comfort, dignity, and simplicity in daily life
We created Mon Souffle with a simple idea: to try to save other families some of the time and energy we spent looking for solutions ourselves.
For us, facilitating treatment or dressing should not mean giving up the person's comfort, autonomy, choice, or dignity. Adaptive clothing should remain clothing that one enjoys wearing, and a practical product should naturally find its place in daily life.
We know that one product does not change everything.
But sometimes, a garment that is easier to put on, an opening that facilitates treatment, a product useful for a respiratory exercise, or a well-designed accessory can remove a small daily struggle.
And when daily life is already busy, these little things matter.
Why we do it
Mon Souffle is above all a project born from our family history.
Our ambition is to gradually transform our experience as caregiver parents into concrete, accessible, and useful solutions for patients and their loved ones, while preserving what also matters enormously: their comfort, their autonomy, and their dignity.
We want to build a shop that evolves with the real needs of families, share what we learn, and continue to develop new solutions when we identify a problem we can solve.
Because behind the treatments and the constraints, there are, above all, children, adults, and families who simply want to continue living their daily lives as normally as possible.
Thank you for being here and for bringing Mon Souffle to life with us.
